December 10,2023 International Human Rights Day Celebration
As usual, Rwanda Youth Clubs for Peace organization joined the rest of the World to celebrate the International human Rights Day. This event took place here in Nyabihu District. The participants were all young boys and girls that are part of our Football Academies in Bigogwe and Jenda Sector. We first all did a Peace march about 4 kms, then brough all participants together and talk about this special day where we focused on its theme : Freedom, Equality and Justice for all.We focused very much on different rights such as Education, Don’t Discriminate, inclusion and play. We put much emphasis on these Rights and relate them with the theme. Then after this we played a friendly and inclusive Football game there. It was the first time this happens here but People and parents appreciated this March so much and requested that if this could happen every year.
We are very much thankful for the support of our National Police here in Nyabihu district for their support to protect children while marching, and the security was well done.
